Amazon Web Services (AWS) Opens New Region in Germany
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has officially opened a new region in Germany. This marks the 13th AWS region in Europe and the 26th overall.
The new region, located in Frankfurt, will offer a full range of AWS services, including compute, storage, database, and analytics.
AWS CEO Andy Jassy said that the new region will help AWS better serve its customers in Germany and across Europe.
"We are excited to open our new region in Frankfurt," said Jassy. "This region will provide our customers with even more choice and flexibility when it comes to deploying their applications and data."
The new region is expected to create hundreds of new jobs in Germany.
